Acupuncture

A pilot-study using acupuncture in emergency medical services found that 58% of recipients reported considerable improvement in their cardinal complaint.

Hayfever sufferers experienced relief from their symptoms and a lasting reduction over the course of the study.

Acupuncture is as good as migraine medication at reducing pain and improving quality of life, and more effective at decreasing the frequency of episodes (ie half as much as the medication (/control) group).

Researchers deduce acupuncture works on the electrical conductivity of muscles, so long as the acupoint is needled precisely.

Visits to the GP decreased by 49% for 200 people who received acupuncture for back pain, compared with a 2% decrease for 800 people who didn't.  That's essentially 25 times less often.

Homeopathy

A meta-analysis of 186 studies shows that homeopathic medicines have a 2.45 greater effect than placebo (this is a great link, and has more information than just this meta-analysis, although we felt it to be the most relevant aspect of it.  There is also more, refined information about what homeopathy is, and isn't.).

Meditation

Studies indicate that meditation is an example of neuroplasticity (the ability of the brain to change).  Simply put, meditation physically alters the brain.  13 years ago, they said it was impossible to change the brain after a certain point.

An eight-week mindfulness meditation program appears to make measurable changes in brain regions associated with memory, sense of self, empathy and stress.

Moxibustion

A pilot study proving moxibustion increases the incidence of turning a breech baby.
